Objective

To provide details on what the Newsletter feature does, how to create Newsletters, and how to manage or clone them for easy replication.


What is Newsletter?

Newsletters can be created from your Dashboard and shared to your Newsfeed.

Newsletters generate their own URL link, which you can copy and share by sending out as you please. For example, in an email campaign or News Item.

Similar to Form Builder, you can easily create your Newsletter on the left side and see it being built in real time on the right side.

In order to save the Newsletter make sure to click on “Save and Edit” at the bottom left.

How to create a Newsletter

From the Home menu, navigate to Features.



Scroll down to the bottom and select Newsletter.



Then select +New.



Here you can Create your Newsletter.



You build your Newsletter on the left hand side and the live preview is on the right hand side.

On the Right side, you can choose to create multiple pages to your Newsletter and edit the Logo and Name.

Selecting the + adds a new section above or below.



You then choose what kind of section you would like to add. Chose between a Text, Image or Columns section.



Navigating between the previewed sections on the right hand side enables you to manage them on the left side.

7 components of the Newsletter




1 - Enter the Title that you would like to label the newsletter

2 - If you would like to use a template, click on the drop down menu titled 'Select Template' and choose from existing templates, then click 'Load template'




We offer an Image + Text option and a Text + Columns option to choose from



Important Note If you do not select a template you have full editing control, able to add sections in the newsletter "from scratch".
If you do choose a template, it will ask you if you are sure because loading a template will permanently clear the current page you are working on and replace it with the template.



3 - This is the editor where you can change the text size, font, color, insert tables, etc.

4 - This is where you can edit the height, padding, and background color of a section.

Important Note Height is automatically set at 200px and padding is 10px, background color is transparent by default


5 - If you want to add a page manually to the newsletter you can click on the “+” icon and add as many pages as desired or also this is where you can delete pages.
You will get a warning if you click on delete that will ask you “are you sure you want to delete this page?”

6 - A Header will automatically be added to every new newsletter with the school logo and name added.

If you want to edit this, you must click on the header section on right hand side, then edit.

7 - Clicking on sections in the right hand side will populate the editor with that current section to edit.

If you want to add a section, you can click on the “+” icon above or below the section in order to add a new section above or below.

In order to save the Newsletter make sure to click on “Save and Edit” at the bottom left.

How to manage or clone your Newsletters




If you want to edit, clone, or delete a previous newsletter you can do so by clicking on 1 of the 3 buttons on the right hand side.

The middle Icon is to Clone and it will create an identical replicate to which you can then rename and Edit to not have to start from scratch each time and maintain continuity.

How to share your Newsletter

Once you have created your Newsletter it is time to share!

Newsletters generate their own URL link once Saved:



You can copy the URL link and share it by sending out as you please, for example, in an email campaign or News Item.

Dashboard Administrators have the ability to click on 'Create News with Link' after a newsletter is published.

This will take you to the Create News feature with a prepopulated message stating “Check out our latest newsletter at http://www.example.com
