Getting the Message Out (v6) - Push Notifications

Objective

Demonstrate how to ensure app users receive push notifications.

There are a few options app users have regarding their Alerts or Push Notifications.

To receive push notifications in the app, each app user has to have them toggled on in the 'My Alerts' section of their app.

Below is an example of having the 'Enable Push Notifications' toggled off:



*It is important to note that if the categories below are toggled on but the 'Enable Push Notifications' at the top is toggled off, all notifications are blocked.
'Enable Push Notifications' must be toggled on for the app user to receive any notifications.


Option 1:


In the App Menu, Click on 'My Alerts'


Toggle on 'Enable Push Notifications' at the top.
Toggle on all newsfeed categories you want to receive notifications about.
At the bottom, a list of all teachers and their categories will appear. Advise app users to toggle on the Teacher categories that they want notifications about.



 Option 2:

In the App Menu- Click on 'Directory'


Search for the Teacher's name & click on the bell image at the bottom of the teachers 'page', and toggle on the category that they want.
